Biography

Artemis Giotsa is Associate Professor in Social Psychology at the Department of Early Childhood Education at the University of Ioannina in Greece. Her research interests have mainly focused on the family field and Interpersonal relationships.

She has considerable experience working with different populations in various cultural contexts and she has received several awards for her publications. She has received the prize for “Outstanding 2014 Book Editor” by the Untested Ideas Research Center in the USA and she is the President of the International Society of Interpersonal Acceptance Rejection (ISIPAR).
She represents the Greek Association of Psychologists in the Board of Human Rights and Psychology of EFPA. She was the Chair and co-organized in Greece (May 2016) with the Association of Greek Psychologists and the Board of Human Rights and Psychology of EFPA the «European Conference on Human Rights in a Changing World» at the University of Ioannina.

Her interests include the protection of Human Rights in the family, school and community settings and she is the scientific coordinator of applied programs in this field supported by the Ministry of Education in Greece and in collaboration to the American Psychological Association (APA).
She conducts many national and cross-cultural projects
